Who Can Apply?
Veterans interested in housing through Next Mission are encouraged to apply.
Applicants may include:
Veterans currently experiencing housing instability
Veterans seeking safe and stable housing
Veterans participating in HUD-VASH
Veterans receiving other eligible rental assistance
Veterans referred by a VA case manager, social worker, community organization, or other veteran-serving program
Veterans transitioning into more independent housing
Submitting an application does not guarantee housing or indicate that a housing unit is currently available.
What You Can Expect
1. Submit an Inquiry or Application
Begin the process by contacting Next Mission or completing our housing application.
2. Application Review
Next Mission will review the information provided to determine whether an available housing opportunity may be appropriate for your circumstances.
3. Verification
Additional documentation or verification may be requested when necessary to complete the application process.
This may include identity, veteran status, income or rental-assistance information, housing eligibility, references, or other information relevant to the housing application.
4. Housing Discussion
Qualified applicants may be contacted to discuss available housing, resident expectations, program requirements, rental arrangements, and next steps.
5. Move-In
Approved applicants will complete the required resident documents and receive information concerning their housing assignment, move-in requirements, house rules, and other applicable policies.
HUD-VASH Participants & Community Referrals
Working Together to Support Veterans
Next Mission welcomes opportunities to work with veteran-serving organizations, housing professionals, community partners, and appropriate government programs to connect veterans with stable housing.
If you currently have a HUD-VASH voucher or are working with a HUD-VASH case manager, please let us know when contacting us. Next Mission welcomes inquiries from veterans participating in the HUD-VASH program.
Your case manager or other authorized representative may also contact Next Mission regarding potential housing opportunities.

Housing options for veterans utilizing eligible rental assistance programs, when applicable
Before You Apply
Please have the following information available if requested during the application process:
Government-issued identification
Veteran status documentation, when required
Current contact information
Emergency contact information
Income or benefits information when required for housing eligibility
HUD-VASH or rental-assistance information, if applicable
Case manager or referral contact information, if applicable
Other documentation reasonably necessary to process your housing application
Please do not send Social Security numbers, identification documents, financial records, medical records, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email unless Next Mission specifically provides you with an approved secure method for doing so.
